There are so many exciting things to see and do in London and a 

great number of them are free of charge. There are discounts on others with a London Pass. Make sure you put some of the following attractions on your bucket list:

A great place to start is the historic Tower of London or the famous London Eye which offers amazing views of the city.  Close to the London Eye is a wonderful world of underwater creatures at the Sea Life London aquarium.  If you enjoy museums there are so many amazing ones to choose from, including, The British Museum,  Natural History MuseumScience MuseumVictoria and Albert Museum, Museum of London and more.


Visit some of the famous state buildings, including Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament with Big Ben, but don’t forget to take your camera.

You will also want to take plenty of pictures at the city’s beautiful religious buildings such as Westminster Abbey and St Paul’s Cathedral.


If art is your thing, you can find some famous works of art in London’s great galleries such as Tate Britain and The National Gallery and Portrait Gallery near Trafalgar Square.  For modern and post modern art, there are hundreds of small, independent galleries in addition to the world famous Tate Modern which is just next to the Thames in Waterloo.  It boasts a viewing gallery that gives wonderful views across London and down the curve of the river. Don’t forget that river trips are available from various points along the river and often include a live commentary of London’s river history.


For those with musical interests there are many concerts and recitals available, sometimes free of charge.

Depending on your taste in music, you might want to check out the program of events at the Royal Albert Hall with its world famous Proms and venues such as the South Bank and Wigmore Hallor how about Ronnie Scott’s famous jazz club.


London is also famous for its relaxing green spaces, such as Hyde Park and Richmond Park and if conservation or botanical gardens are your thing, you must visit the spacious and enchanting Kew Gardens.


Like all major cities, London is full of clubspopular music venues, pubs and restaurants. From budget to Michelin starred, London’s venues will fill your time and your stomach. If you want a full and happy leisure time to supplement your studies, there is no better place than London!
